3 Day Shotgun Chaps Building Class - May 30th, 31st & June 1st

This class is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. & a break for lunch. (you’ll need to bring your lunch)

-All materials included for 1 pair of shotgun chaps, if more leather is needed due to your size and measurements , there will be an additional charge. You can call me to ask if that will be a possibility ahead of time. For example, if you’re waist is over 40”, give me a call! Materials include leather, hardware, rivets, thread, glue, tape and finishes that are needed to complete a pair to take home.

-Give me a call or shoot me an email after you sign up so we can choose a leather color.

-You will stamp the yokes and learn how to put finishes on them.

-You’ll learn how to properly measure someone and apply those measurements to the pattern.

-We will talk about layout on the hide and why we layout where we do.

-I’ll teach you construction and efficient ways to accomplish building a pair.

-You will be using the sewing machines in the classroom I have a Cobra 20 and a 26 available to use.

You will go home with a completed pair of chaps, a pattern, and the knowledge to build another set! If you have any questions about the class, please contact me by email or phone!
