3 Day Shotgun Chaps Class - July 8, 9 & 10
This class consists of the following: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. break for lunch
-All materials included for 1 pair of Shotgun Chaps, if more leather is needed due to your size and measurements, there will be an additional charge of 150.00. You can call me to ask if that will be a possibility ahead of time. Materials include leather, hardware, rivets, zippers thread, glue, tape and finishes.
-You will learn how to stamp your yokes while you are here.
-I will try and have a good selection of leather to choose from, if you would like to bring your own leather so you can be color specific, please do.
-You’ll learn how to properly measure someone and apply those measurements to the pattern.
-We will talk about layout on the hide and why we layout where we do.
-I’ll teach you construction and efficient ways to do this.
-You will be using the sewing machines in the classroom.
You will go home with a completed pair of Chaps, a pattern, and the knowledge to hopefully build another set! If you have any questions about the class, please contact me by email or phone!
